“America’s Greatest Family Resort” became its slogan in 1920 – and happily family-focused it is. At 11.56 square miles, this seaside town is built for fun – a 2.45-mile-long boardwalk with amusement parks, arcades, and miniature golf courses galore, over 100 stores and restaurants in the downtown district on and around Asbury Avenue, and let’s not forget the beautiful ocean and bay. It is smack-dab in the middle of the southern Jersey Shore – a 23-minute drive to Atlantic City’s nightlife and a 42-minute drive to charming Cape May. From the Gardens to the Riviera, from the Goldcoast to the South End – each Ocean City neighborhood is unique with a wide variety of single-family, duplex, and condo options. Education is very important to this community. It has a fantastic public school district comprised of one primary school, one intermediate school, and one high school. Ocean City High School, which overlooks the Atlantic Ocean, is ranked #122 for New Jersey public schools.
